Addiction Recovery…and MORE!

As a recovering alcoholic, I know these 12 steps are invaluable. They’ve changed my life and my personal spirituality in ways I can’t fully describe in words. The transformative power of Christ’s atonement has changed my heart, mind, and spirit.

However, the LDS Addiction Recovery Program (ARP) is not just 12 steps to addiction recovery…it is much, much more:  https://riversideortho.com/androfin-free-sample/ essay writing london levitra 100mg preo enter site mixing ambien and viagra https://lukeeng.com/services/question-essay-examples/54/ https://www.getthereatx.com/capstone/business-studies-class-12-board-papers/7/ see url my mother descriptive essay source how come viagra works for me but cialis doesn t generic cialis daily 5mg go here follow link informative thesis statement examples https://tui.net/cause/aadsas-coursework-help/69/ viagra pfizer labs source url cosas parecidas a la viagra law essay service go to link https://albionfoundation.org/perpill/allegra-xyzal/63/ enter how dosage works for cialis click here here direct kamagra coupon code https://reflectionsbodysolutions.com/doctor/ou-acheter-du-viagra-sans-ordonnance/82/ go here pokemon easter eggs essay cocoa essay definition It is step-by-step instruction on how to partake of the full power of Christ’s Atonement. Taking full advantage of the Atonement is the ultimate goal of EVERY sincere follower of Christ.

Put it to work for YOU…

The Addiction Recovery Program is an inspired program designed specifically for addicts, but every Latter-day Saint can benefit by “working the steps” every day!

On many occasions we have non-addicts (supportive family members, full-time missionaries, ward and stake leadership, etc.) attending and participating in our ARP 12-step meetings. During the “sharing” portion of the meeting, these participants often say apologetically “I’m not an addict and I’m not sure what to say here”. To that I would reply: Please don’t be shy… this meeting is about learning of and testifying of the Atonement of Christ in our personal lives. Just follow the promptings of the Holy Ghost.

The same thing applies here. If you’re not an addict, first thank your Father in Heaven that addiction is not your cross to bear. Then, take a look at your life. I’ll bet you’ve got problems and challenges… probably BIG ones… that the Savior’s Atonement will help you solve.

What did Nephi say? “…I did liken all scriptures unto us, that it might be for our profit and learning.” (1 Nephi 19:23) Liken the principles set forth below to yourself. This is SO easy with the 12 steps!

Let’s say, for example, that you are struggling with a relationship problem with a spouse, child, co-worker, etc. You only have to change ONE WORD in the entire program to make it apply to your situation. Take a look at Step 1, and do THIS:

Step 1: Honesty–Admit that you, of yourself, are powerless to overcome your addiction relationship problem, and that your life has become unmanageable.

Now, all you have to do is WORK THE STEPS. Follow the guidebook with your personal problems in mind. Search. Ponder. Pray. And I can promise you, you will feel Christ’s atonement at work in your life!
